Serena Wu is a multilingual singer-songwriter from Halifax, Nova Scotia, whose pop-driven music blends relatable, emotional lyrics with upbeat percussion and catchy melodies.

Her latest single, Détruit / Hate U Now, a bilingual double release, is available on all streaming platforms. Produced, recorded, and mixed by award-winning collaborator Daniel Ledwell (known for his work with Jenn Grant, The Once, and Quiet Parade), the track is an energetic pop anthem that captures the heartbreak and guilt of ending a relationship on bad terms due to circumstances beyond control—like moving away or career changes—while struggling with the realization that someone who once meant everything now feels like a stranger.

In October 2024, she released Étranger (French for "Stranger"), along with an official music video. Also produced, recorded, and mixed by Daniel Ledwell, the track explores the intrigue and uncertainty of falling for someone while questioning who they truly are. It starts with a staccato ukulele riff and quickly expands into a lively arrangement featuring soulful, funk-infused instrumentation. A playful bassline, shimmering guitar riffs, and a vibrant brass section provide an exciting backdrop for Serena’s dynamic voice and textured harmonies. Her bilingual releases Détruit / Hate U Now and Étranger, have earned airplay across francophone radio and charted on the ARCANB (Association of Francophone Community Radio Stations in New Brunswick) pop/rock chart as well as Sirius XM.

Serena performed with Ashley MacIsaac at the 2021 Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo and in Halifax for the 2022 Acadian National Day, where she joined him on his hit, Sleepy Maggie. In November 2023, she was featured among artists presented by Acadian Embassy at Nova Scotia Music Week in Yarmouth, NS.

Serena has showcased live at venues like The Seahorse Tavern and Emerge Festival with her band. She also held a concert at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic as part of their summer series, Tuesday Night Tunes. Her latest project was a duet with Ashley MacIsaac on his Christmas album, Christmas Across the Atlantic, where she sang on track #8, Christmas Without You. Serena is planning a new bilingual double release for June 2026.

Elle reçoit aussi de la diffusion sur SiriusXM et se classe pendant plus de 40 semaines au palmarès pop/rock de l’ARCANB (Association des radios communautaires et acadiennes du Nouveau-Brunswick).

Serena s’est produite sur scène au Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo (2021), au festival Quinzou (2022), à Nova Scotia Music Week (2023), au Musée maritime de l’Atlantique, au Seahorse Tavern, au festival Emerge, ainsi qu’au Grou Tyme (2025) à Halifax. Elle a également collaboré avec Ashley MacIsaac, notamment lors de spectacles et sur son album Christmas Across the Atlantic. Elle travaille actuellement sur de nouvelles chansons et collaborations.
